Glorious GoodwoodGood news if you are an armchair racing fan, Channel 4 who at the start of the year massively increased their live racing output, are covering many of this week’s Glorious Goodwood races and as such you will be able to sit back and watch each race unfold without leaving your front door.

Not only will you be able to watch many of these races live, but with many online betting sites eager for your business then you can snap up plenty of value for money wagers. Take the Racing Post who is still showing off their stylish racing App, they are giving punters their wagers back if their horse finishes second in any live Channel 4 Glorious Goodwood race this week.

However you will need to get your bets on the night before to benefit from this offer the details of which can be found over on their website. William Hill are also giving a money back specials on selected races at Goodwood this week via their Betting App, so the savvier of racing fans and punters will no doubt be combining and taking both of these sites up on their offers to guarantee they lock in excellent value.

The 3:40pm race at Goodwood this afternoon is one that is sure to get a lot of punters perplexed, this is a 7 runner, 7 furlong race on which two horses are currently battling for favouritism, those horses being Toormore and Parbold.

If we had to give you a tip of this race then our money is going on Toormore, and we are basing this on the fact this horse is more than likely to improve on his previous excellent form and with Richard Hughes in the saddle coupled with the fact the horse is trained by Richard Hannon, these two have had a perfect winning combination for years now.

Also the Hannon yard has already been successful at this meeting so far this week and as such is certainly in form, you are not likely to get huge odds however on Toormore, and we have just had a quick scout around with 13 to 8 being the currently available best odds on this runner in this race.

In these small runner fields at Goodwood it can often pay to place an Exacta or Straight Forecast wager to get the better and higher odds, and as such we would suggest you place such a wager using Toormore as the runner to come in first, then stick a pin in the racing paper to find the second!
