Gowan Park RacecourseAs we move slowly into the month of July, today, Tuesday the 2nd of July 2013 sees a wide range of race meetings taking place, and as such we will take a look at all of the racecourses holding meeting both this afternoon and this evening in our usual attempt to highlight some possible winners!

There are in fact four racecourses holding meetings today in the UK and these are Hamilton, Brighton, Stratford and Bath and over in Ireland there is just one race meeting today and this is being held at Gowran Park.

The Gowran Park meeting is an evening meeting and as such if you are in the locality later on today then the first race gets underway at 5.50pm, and the races are running every half hour until 8.50pm so if you have a spare evening tonight then how about visiting the course as there are a number of interesting runners taking part in those races.

One which jumps off the racing pages of most newspapers is in the 6:60pm race which is a one mile flat race and the runner which is currently attracting a lot of attention in the race is Indian Maharaja, whilst the form of this runner and in fact all others in the race is not outstanding, after weighing up all factors this horse could be a value bet judging by the opposition!

Over at Brighton we have chosen a runner in the 2.45pm race, this is a 5 furlong race so it will be over in the blink of an eye, however we do like the look of Tooley Woods, who does have some experience of running over this distance, and if all goes to plan that horse should at the very least get a place position, however we think with a little bit of luck in running Tooley Woods should hopefully be the first past the post, and with generous odds on offer may be it is worth taking an early price.

The days races over at Bath is being sponsored by the Bet365 Group, and possibly it will be worth checking out what odds are on offer on all of the runners at this evening meeting with that betting site as they are guaranteed to be offering some of the best prices in the industry due to their sponsorship of the meeting, one runner that may be worth backing is Nateeja in the 7.00pm race.
